Bearing Retainer

Removal





1. Remove steering column lower bearing retainer.
2. Suitably support steering actuator housing and tap out steering column bearing and steering column bearing sleeve with a hammer and a drift.

Installation





1. Inspect steering column bearing sleeve. Replace if damaged.





2. Position steering column bearing sleeve in steering actuator housing.
3. Press the new steering column bearing with thumb pressure until seated. Slot between inner and outer races should face down.





4. Install steering column lower bearing retainer on steering actuator housing.
