Canister Purge Solenoid: Description and Operation

- The canister vent solenoid is located on the evaporative emissions canister (EVAP canister).
- It allows testing of the evaporative emissions system.
- It must be energized during the OBD II leak test, IM240 pressure test and the System pressure test.
