Hydraulic Control Assembly - Antilock Brakes: Service and Repair

Removal
1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. Remove the brake booster.





3. Remove the brake booster support brackets.





4. Disconnect the hydraulic unit brake tubes.





5. Disconnect the hydraulic unit electrical connector.
1 Release the retainer
2 Disconnect the electrical connector.





6. Remove the hydraulic control unit support bracket rear bolts.





7. NOTE: Observe the earth Wire behind the lower bolt.

Remove the Hydraulic Control Unit support bracket side bolts.
- Pull the bracket and (HCU) forwards.





8. Remove the Hydraulic Control Unit.
- Slacken the nuts.

Installation

NOTE: After installation, bleed the brake system.

















1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
