High Pressure Safety Valve HVAC: Description and Operation

An A/C compressor pressure relief valve is incorporated in the A/C manifold and tube to:
^ Relieve high refrigerant system discharge pressure buildup, 3103 kPa (450 psi) and above.
^ Prevent damage to the A/C compressor and other A/C system components.
^ Avoid total refrigerant loss by closing after the excessive pressure has been relieved.
