Front

NOTE:
^ Minor cracks in the V-grooved portion of the drive belt (8620) are considered normal and acceptable. If the drive belt has chunks missing from the ribs, the drive belt should be replaced.
^ Conditions requiring drive belt replacement are rib chunk out, severe glazing, frayed cords, etc. Replace any drive belt exhibiting one of these conditions.

REMOVAL

NOTE: If removal of the water pump drive pulley is required, see Engine.

1. Rotate drive belt tensioner (6B209) clockwise. Use a breaker bar installed in the 3/8-inch square hole in drive belt tensioner arm.
2. Lift drive belt over pulley flanges and remove.

2. Install the drive belt onto the rest of the pulleys. Rotate the drive belt tensioner clockwise and install the drive belt on the last pulley.
