Air Register: Service and Repair

NOTE: The instrument panel registers are serviced as assemblies only.




RH

REMOVAL
1. Remove the instrument panel upper moulding to gain access to A/C register retaining screw.

NOTE: The instrument panel upper moulding is retained by snap-in tabs.

2. Remove passenger side air bag module.
3. Remove the A/C register retaining screw.
4. Remove the A/C register from the instrument panel.

NOTE: The A/C register assembly is secured in the instrument panel with snap tabs.

INSTALLATION
1. Follow removal procedure in reverse order.




CENTER

NOTE: The center and left A/C register assemblies are attached to the instrument panel finish panel by snap tabs at top and bottom.

REMOVAL
1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove radio chassis.
3. Disengage snap tabs and remove instrument panel upper moulding to gain access to the instrument panel finish panel retaining screws.
4. Disengage snap tabs and remove instrument panel moulding to gain access to the remaining instrument panel finish panel retaining screws.
5. Remove eight retaining screws from instrument panel finish panel. Remove instrument panel finish panel from instrument panel.
6. Disengage snap tabs and remove A/C register.

INSTALLATION
1. Follow removal procedure in reverse order.
