Valve Body: Service and Repair

All fasteners are designed to metric specifications.
1. Raise and support vehicle.
2. Drain transmission fluid, then remove oil pan, fluid screen, gasket and on early units, remove three spacers.
3. Remove rear servo cover and gasket.
4. Remove control valve body attaching bolts. Note the different length and location of each bolt.
5. Carefully remove control valve body while unlocking and detaching selector lever connecting rod.
6. After installing valve body, torque attaching bolts to 72-96 inch lbs. Torque rear servo cover attaching bolts to 84-120 inch lbs.
