Condenser HVAC: Service and Repair

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Discharge A/C system, following all safety procedures.
3. Remove grille opening panel.
4. Drain radiator.
5. Remove attaching screws, then the electro drive cooling fan by raising it straight up through the engine compartment.
6. Raise and support vehicle, then remove radiator lower attaching bolts.
7. Remove bolts attaching left and right horn brackets and position horns out of way.
8. Remove bolts attaching condenser mounting brackets.
9. Disconnect and cap compressor to condenser refrigerant line.
10. Disconnect A/C limit switch on the receiver/dryer lead at the connector.
11. Disconnect two lines from receiver/dryer.
12. Working through opening in radiator support, push forward on plastic of two outer tabs to release condenser.
13. Disconnect front fan lead at connector.
14. Swing radiator toward engine compartment, then lower A/C fan, condenser and receiver/dryer assembly through opening.
15. Reverse procedure to install.
