Throttle Body: Service and Repair

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Disconnect throttle position sensor electrical connector.
3. Remove air inlet ducts.
4. Disconnect throttle link from ball stud.
5. Disconnect vacuum hoses next to throttle position sensor. Identify and mark location and color code of hoses.
6. Remove bolts retaining EGR tube to throttle body and separate EGR tube from throttle body.
7. Remove screws retaining throttle body to upper intake manifold and carefully remove throttle.
8. Reverse procedure to install, using new gaskets and to torque attaching bolts to 6-8 ft. lbs.
