Clutch Pedal Assembly: Adjustments

These models incorporate a self-adjusting clutch mechanism. The self-adjust mechanism consists of a spring loaded ratchet quadrant attached to the clutch cable. During clutch cable replacement or whenever clutch adjustment is necessary, grasp the clutch pedal and pull upwards, then slowly depress clutch pedal several times.

Whenever the clutch cable is disconnected for any reason, the clutch pedal assembly must be restrained in the uppermost position during both removal and replacement of the components. After the clutch cable is installed and the clutch allowed to rest in its normal position, adjust clutch by slowly depressing clutch several times.
