EGR Backpressure Transducer: Testing and Inspection

PROCEDURE:
1. Disconnect the vacuum lines at the EGR modulator valve.
2. Connect a Rotunda Vacuum Tester 014-R1058 or equivalent to the EGR modulator valve.
3. Start the engine.
4. Attempt to pump a vacuum. It should NOT pump a vacuum at IDLE.
5. Run the engine at 2500 rpm. Pump a vacuum of: 121.9 mm-Hg (4.8 in Hg).
- The EGR modulator valve should hold a vacuum.
6. Replace the EGR modulator valve as needed.
