C. Installing the Voice Control System

1. Disconnect the power/MOST connector from the AKG unit (A, Figure 9).

2. Remove the hands-free bracket assembly by removing 8-mm bolt from the horizontal body support-member (B, Figure 9) and loosening the 8-mm bolt on the vertical body support-member (C, Figure 9).





3. Remove the AKG unit by removing the Phillips screw (A, Figure 10) and sliding the tab out of the clip (B, Figure 10).

4. Mount the voice control module (VCM) in place of the AKG unit by inserting the VCM tab into the clip (B, Figure 10) and using the previously removed Phillips screw to secure it (A, Figure 10).

5. Reinstall the VCM bracket assembly by using the previously removed 10-mm bolt from the horizontal body-member and tightening the loose 10-mm bolt on the vertical body-member.

Note:
Be careful not to bend, crush, or chafe electrical cables or MOST cables when installing the VCM bracket assembly.

6. Connect the power/MOST connector to the VCM.
