MOUNTING SCREWS AND NUTS





This Service Campaign is being initiated because DCAG has determined that the mounting screws and clip nuts for the lower center engine compartment panel as attached to the front axle carrier may be subject to corrosion
Mounting screws with an improved surface protection against corrosion have been used on vehicles produced since August 1999.

Procedure
Please replace the effected mounting screws and clip nuts on vehicles produced before August 1999, in order to prevent corrosion of the mounting screws on these vehicles (see WIS: AR61.20-P-1105M, Removing and installing bottom engine compartment paneling).Please perform this Service Campaign during the vehicles' next scheduled service visit.
