Instrument Cluster Replacement

When replacing an instrument cluster in a Model Year 2000 or 2001 220 or 215 vehicle, the replacement instrument cluster must be version coded properly, or erroneous mileage will be displayed and recorded in the odometer. In order to prevent this condition; during the version coding of the new instrument cluster set the redundant mileage feature to Not Active".

Note:
Never attempt to start or run the engine without the instrument cluster being version coded, or erroneous mileage will be recorded.
