Condenser Fan: Description and Operation
The engine/A/C electric fan serves for cooling the coolant and refrigerant.
The electric engine/A/C fan is control led infinitely by the electronic engine control module.
The automatic A/C pushbutton control module calculates the fan speed depending on the refrigerant pressure and transmits the request to the electronic engine control module via the electronic ignition lock control module.
In A/C mode at an outdoor temperature of 15 °C and a vehicle speed of 70 km/h a basic fan speed of 40 % is required. The electronic engine control module calculates the fan speed depending on the engine temperature and compares it with the A/C request. The higher value is then output as the control signal.
