Maintenance Indicator, Remaining Time Function

The time remaining until the next maintenance service is calculated starting with the total time set at the factory. The total time means the time specified between two maintenance intervals. It can be set with the HHT between 95 and 485 days.
The remaining time means the time remaining until the next maintenance service is due. The remaining time is a pure time criterion. The remaining time is reduced by one day each day regardless of the mileage.

Example: Given values
- Total operating time = 365 days (factory setting)
- Time elapsed since last maintenance = 300 days, equals:

Remaining time = 365 days - 300 days = 65 days

In addition a warning threshold between 10 and 30 days can be set with the HHT for the remaining time. The maintenance indicator then comes on automatically beginning at this threshold. The warning threshold is set to 30 days at the factory.
The remaining time is displayed only when the condition:

Remaining time (in days) x 40 < remaining mileage (in km)

is fulfilled meaning that the time criterion has priority.

Display of remaining time
- automatically, with starter switch in position 2 after 5 sec. or while driving after reaching the warning threshold: The tool symbol and the current remaining time appears for 10 sec. and "d" for days.

- automatically, with starter switch in position 2 after 5 sec. or while driving when the remaining time has been exceeded:
In this case the display flashes and the "remaining time" is indicated with a negative sign (minus sign). After reaching the display overrun at -730 days the display remains at this value!

The display has a resolution of 1 day.

The data remains stored in the event of operating voltage failure. The time during which the operating voltage is absent, is, however, not counted!
