Carrier of Air Pump/Generator

NOTE: Numbers in parentheses ( ) indicate a component or tool in the associated illustration.

1. Remove alternator.
2. On models with secondary air injection, remove air pump.





3. On 1st version models, hold belt pulley of viscous fan (21) with counter-holder (1) 103 589 00 40 00, or equivalent.
4. On 2nd version models, hold belt pulley with counter-holder (01) 120 589 02 01 00, or equivalent.
5. On all models, unbolt belt pulley of viscous fan (21).
6. Unbolt carrier of air pump/generator (40).
7. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
- Tighten carrier of air pump/generator (40) to 21Nm
- Tighten belt pulley of viscous fan (21) to 15 Nm
