A. REROUTING OF CHARCOAL CANISTER VENT LINE

C. INSTALLATION OF AUXILIARY FAN RELAY MODULE FUSED WIRING HARNESS
Shown is a sample copy of a letter which will be mailed in the near future to all owners of vehicles within the Effective Serial Number Ranges below.
This campaign is initiated because MBAG has determined that under certain high ambient temperature conditions the charcoal canister vent line may vent fuel vapors near the auxiliary fan preresistor. If the preresistor is hot, it may ignite the fuel vapors, due to the proximity of the vent line to the preresistor. Therefore, the charcoal canister vent line must be rerouted.
In addition to rerouting the vent line, a larger heat shield for the preresistor, as well as a new fused wiring harness for the auxiliary fan relay module are to be installed.
