Seat Temperature Element: Description and Operation

The heated seats can be switched on and off with the front left and right heated seat switches. These switches (buttons) return to the initial position after they are pressed. Stage I or II can be switched on by pressing the corresponding symbol once.
Simultaneously one LED comes on in stage I and both LED's come on in stage II. The heated seat is switched off again when the same symbol is pressed twice.

The switch-on time for the two heating stages is limited by the heated seat control module. After approx. 5 minutes the control module switches automatically from stage II to I. The heated seat switches off automatically after approx. 30 min.

When the ignition is switched off (position 0) the heating procedure is automatically interrupted. When the ignition is switched back on it is necessary to press the heated seat button again.

The heating cushions (seat backrest, cushion) are connected in series in stage II. In stage I the heating cushions are controlled by the heated seat control module by pulsing. The switch-on time is approx. 33 %.

If the battery voltage is less than 11 V, the heated seat is switched off automatically by the heated seat control module and the LED's in the switch flash.
