Work Instruction Number 317 Group 14 gives clear instructions how to test and, if it fails the test, replace the air injection pump.
A recent in vehicle test of 50 replaced pumps revealed that only 8 pumps failed the test. 42 pumps were within the test data by a safe margin. All respective warranty claims will be debited to the responsible dealers.
Please inform all responsible personnel to only replace air injection pumps that fail the test in order to avoid warranty claim debits.
