Disconnect/Connect Engine Wire Harness

Replacement






NOTE: Numbers in parentheses ( ) indicate a component or tool in the associated illustration.

1. Disconnect ground cable at battery.
2. Remove covers (1) and (2) over wiring harness at left wheelhouse.
3. Pull forward and unplug locking bar of connector (X26/25) coupling.
4. Open cover of connector (X12/3).
5. Unscrew wiring (arrow) at connector (X12/3).
6. Unplug connector (M16/2x1).
7. Separate connector of actuator (M16/6x1) at bottom of intake manifold.
8. Unbolt ground (W3) at front left wheelhouse.





9. Remove cover (3) at engine component partition.
10. Remove cover (4) over engine component partition.
11. Unplug connector (arrow) at control module (N3/4).
12. Separate connector (X4/24).
13. Unplug connector (arrow) at air mass sensor (B2/5).

NOTE: Slacken union nut, tighten for this step.

14. Unbolt ground (W16/4) in component compartment
15. Unbolt cable (30) with bracket (5) at connector (X4) (outside of left footwell).
