Bumper - Modification to Improve Cooling

Modification to replacement front bumper to improve engine cooling

Should front bumper cover replacement be necessary due to collision repair, please note that the replacement bumper cover spare part must first be modified to prevent engine overheating.

Procedure








1. Before painting and installing the replacement front bumper, cut out the upper strip of the bumper grille in the center section, only where indicated by the white dotted lines (Figure 1). Be sure to leave both slots for the front license plate bracket Intact (Figure 2).

WARNING!
Always wear eye protection when removing the grille strip. Be sure to remove all sharp edges which may be left from the cutting procedure.

The completed modification should result in a cover which is identical in appearance to the original bumper from the vehicle (Figure 2).
