B. Removing, Installing & Adjusting Trunk Lock

1. Remove trunk center section trim piece.





2. Remove lock mechanism housing mounting screws (1-3, Figure 1).

3. Remove trunk lock from trunk center section.





4. Remove vacuum line (4, Figure 2) and remove wiring harness mounting clips (5 and 6, Figure 2) and disconnect wiring harness.





5. Separate lock mechanism housing (7, Figure 3) from lock cylinder housing (8, Figure 3) by unlatching the detent (small arrow, Figure 3) with a small screwdriver.

6. Install parts in reverse order but do not tighten screws (1-3, Figure 1).





9. Property position trunk lock by centering chrome lock cylinder trim ring in the lock trim piece (arrows, Figure 4).





10. Tighten screw (1, Figure 5)

Tightening torque:
10 Nm.





7. Align lock mechanism housing (7, Figure 6) flush with upper trunk center section. Tighten lock mechanism mounting screws (2 and 3, Figure 1).

8. Check lock for proper operation.

Damage code: 75022 16 Trunk lid lock, R & R, replace if necessary.
