Battery
Disconnect negative pole.

Protective grille
Remove, 2 clips (1), 2 screw clips (2).

Electrical connectors (M4 x 1 and M4 x 2)
Disconnect.

Screw, top left and right (3)
Unscrew and expose cable for auxiliary fan.

Remove auxiliary fans
Unscrew 3 screws (4) on each and remove fan.

Install
In reverse sequence.

Function check
Perform by disconnecting plug on coolant temperature sensor for air conditioner B10/8 and setting 310 Ohms (stage I) or 250 (stage II) with an ohm decade (124 589 09 63 00) connect battery, switch on ignition and set control unit (KLA) to "Auto". Auxiliary fans rotate clockwise.

NOTE: After completing the work erase fault memory in the control unit.
