Wiper Motor: Service and Repair

FRONT

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove air intake grille, then the three wiper housing attaching screws.
3. Disconnect front and rear electrical connectors from wiper motor.
4. Remove wiper motor and linkage as an assembly, then unfasten motor from linkage.
5. Reverse procedure to install.

REAR

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove tailgate trim panel.
3. Remove wiper motor mounting nuts.
4. Push ends of retaining clip at wiper motor output shaft together to disengage wiper motor from wiper arm shaft.
5. Reverse procedure to install. Push ends of retaining clip at wiper motor output shaft together to engage wiper motor to wiper arm shaft.
