Fig. 3 Power Steering Pump Exploded View:

Refer to Fig. 3, for power steering pump service.

1. Check volume control valve and pump housing bore for scoring or damage, if indicated, replace pump.
2. Inspect rotor blades for grooves, then blade on cam ring for wear, if indicated, replace.
3. Inspect pressure plates for scoring and wear, if indicated, replace.
4. Inspect driveshaft and bearing bushings for wear, if indicated, replace drive set.
