Fig. 3 Power Steering Pump Exploded View:

Refer to Fig. 3, for power steering pump service.

1. Remove vent cap (47) and closing cap (45).
2. Remove stud nut (61), then remove sleeve (60), spring (43) and filter pack (41).
3. Remove cover (23).
4. Remove circlip (22) from housing, then remove cover (23).
5. Remove spring (5) and O-ring (12) from housing.
6. Remove pressure plate (3).
7. Remove lock ring (18) from driveshaft (11).
8. Using suitable hammer, loosen driveshaft from rotor, then remove driveshaft (11).
9. Remove rotor (7), cam ring (6) and pressure plate (14).
10. Remove cylinder pins (20).
11. Using suitable screwdriver, remove radial sealing ring (13).
12. Remove closing plug (59), compression spring (30) and volume control valve (32).
13. Position volume control valve (32) in suitable vise, then remove valve ball (53), valve cone (51) and compression spring (50).
