As of November 1987 production, a tin-coated camshaft (for better running-in conditions of the lobes) with 18.6 mm wide cam lobes (previously 18 mm) has been installed.





Effective Serial Number

The modified camshaft will carry code "39". In the interim the camshaft is coded "3". All other markings on the rear of the camshaft are irrelevant.

The modified camshaft (with code 39 or 3) along with new rocker arms, can be installed on earlier production Vehicles.

Only the modified camshaft is available as a placement part.
