Ten Needle Sweeps

NOTE: This test requires the use of a "socket box" type testing adapter.

1. With the engine off ignition on and the EDS control unit connected, check voltage between sockets 3 (-) and 18 (+) of the test adapter If 5 volts is present, test is over. If five volts is not present, check for and repair any open circuit. If no open circuit is present, replace the reference resistor and/or the EDS control unit.
NOTE: When replacing the reference resistor, only a resistor with the same part number should be installed.
