Wiper Motor: Service and Repair

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove both right and left wiper arms.
3. Remove right side air intake grille.
4. Remove transmission-to-grille caps and bearing nuts, then the left side air intake grille.
5. Remove wiper assembly cover plate center cap, rivets and screws, then the cover plate.
6. Disconnect wiper linkage from wiper motor.
7. Remove water drain from right hand bearing shaft.
8. Disconnect wiper motor electrical connector in engine compartment.
9. Unfasten plug on electrical connector, then pull wiring through firewall.
10. Remove wiper motor attaching screws and the wiper motor.
11. Reverse procedure to install.
