Indicator Does Not Glow, Engine Starts OK

Fig. 32 Preglow Time Relay Plug Terminal ID:

1. Disconnect 4-pin plug from preglow time relay, turn ignition switch to position "2" and connect a jumper wire between pins 1 and 3, Fig. 32. The preglow indicator lamp should light up. If the lamp now glows, replace the preglow time relay. If it does not, proceed with step 2.
2. Check the light bulb. If bulb is good, check black wire from pin 3 of 4-pin plug on preglow time relay to indicator lamp for continuity. Repair open circuit.
