Poor Engine Performance

Check items in the following order:
1. Check throttle linkage for binding or adjustment.
2. Perform maximum engine speed test.
3. Check the EGR system.
4. Check the fuel transfer pump.
5. Check compression.
6. Check injection pump timing.
