Reconditioning

Preceeding work: Remove injection timing device.





- Pull off segment flange (18b) at sprocket (18f). Take off compression springs (18k) and governor weights (18d). Examine parts for wear, replace if necessary.
- Remove drive hug (18l) on sprocket (18f). To do this, unscrew bolts (18c). On reinstallation, tighten bolts (18c) to 25 Nm.
- Remove bush (18e). Examine for wear, replace if necessary.
- Pull off cam (18g) of sprocket (18f). Unscrew bolts (18h) for this purpose. Inspect cam for signs of wear and replace, if necessary. On reinstallation, tighten bolts to 15 Nm.

Assemble in opposite order of disassembly.

NOTE: If the pulley or bearing of the piston vacuum pump are damaged, check whether the drive flange with cam at the injection timing device is damaged and replace part, if necessary.
