Pressure Control Flap: Description and Operation
A vacuum operated pressure control flap, located in the air guide housing, is used to increase vacuum in the intake manifold. When the engine is running in EGR mode, the pressure control flap closes the fresh air duct. In the closed position, in order to increases vacuum, a small opening remains between the pressure control flap and the air guide housing.
CAUTION: Do not manually operate the vacuum control linkage for the pressure control flap.
