Brakes - Rear, Cleaning Pads May Require Modification

SUBJECT: MODIFICATION TO CLEANING PADS FOR REAR BRAKE DISCS MODEL 201




Some of the cleaning pads (tool no. 201 589 01 28 00) for the rear brake discs may be too wide (62.3 mm width) to fit into the brake caliper..

These pads should be modified as shown in the illustration, by grinding or filing down both edges (arrows) equally to a width of 61.7 - 0.2 mm.
NOTE: The cleaning pad can be clamped into a vise without disassembly.
