DATE: October, 1983 REF. NO. 91/25
SUBJECT: REDUCING PLAY IN SEAT TRACKS MODEL 107
Complaints of play in the seat track can be resolved by eliminating play between the seat and the mounting rail, and from the fore/aft latching mechanism.
A. Checking of seat latch mechanism
B. Replacement or reworking of seat latch mechanism
C. Eliminating play between seat and mounting rail
FIGURE 1:
A. Checking of Seat Latch Mechanism
1. Slide the seat all the way forward, making sure that the latch plates are fully engaged.
2. Adjust seat to its highest position.
3. Release and fold backrest forward..
4. Check the left and right latch plate visually from the rear (Figure 1, arrow). Both plates must rest flat against the seat cushion frame without play. If not, the latch mechanism must be modified as described in section B.
NOTE: If no play is found between the plate - and frame, remove the seat and modify according to section C.
FIGURE 2:

FIGURE 9:
10. Apply touch-up paint (astral silver) to the bare metal (Figure 9, arrow).

3. Install the white sliders on top of the runners.
NOTE: The rails must slide freely by hand, otherwise seat adjustment will be difficult.
