Parking Brake Pedal: Service and Repair

Removal and installation of pedal assembly for parking brake





- Unhook return spring (12) on mount (14) and turn back adjustment screw (3) on adjustment bracket (1).
- Adjust parking brake. Adjustments
- Remove cover (arrow) below instrument panel.
- Unhook chain (5) on actuating lever (4).
- Unhook brake control cable (17) from pull tab on pedal (15).
- Remove spring clip (20).
- Remove brake control cable (17).
- Disconnect plug connector (21) from holder (1).
- Disconnect plug connector on parking brake warning light switch.
- Screw out hex. head bolts and hex. nuts (13).
- Remove complete pedal assembly.
