Power flow in virtual operating mode 2, general
The virtual operating mode 2 is used at a higher vehicle speed range. The combustion engine runs (hybrid drive). The following multidisk clutch is engaged:
- Multidisk clutch K1 (15)
Electric machine 2 operates mainly as a generator and electric machine 1 operates mainly as a motor.
The power flow in virtual operating mode 2 flows through the following gear sets:
^ Front single planetary gear set
^ Center single planetary gear set
^ Rear single planetary gear set
Front single planetary gear set
The ring gear (10) is driven by the transmission input shaft (A). The planetary gears (4) roll on the sun gear (1). This results in increased torque and a reduced rotational speed, which is transferred to the planet carrier (7). Electric machine 1 transfers additional torque to the sun gear (1) and ring gear (11) depending on various factors.
Center single planetary gear set
The ring gear (11) rotates at the same speed due to the mechanical connection to the sun gear (1). The planetary gears (5) roll over the sun gear (2) and transfer the rotary motion to electric machine 2. This operates mainly as a generator depending on various factors.
The torque and reduced rotational speed are transmitted via the planet carrier (9) to the transmission output shaft (B). The transmission output shaft (B) then rotates with reduced transmission input speed in the engine's direction of rotation.
Rear single planetary gear set
The rear single planetary gear set is load-free and does not transfer any torque.
The transition from virtual operating mode 1 to virtual operating mode 2 is triggered by closing the multidisk clutch K1 (15) between gears 1 and 2. When the rpm has equalized to the 2nd gear, the multidisk brake B1 (13) is opened and virtual operating mode 2 is active.
