The COMAND operating, display and controller unit is a subscriber of the interior CAN. It communicates with the following control units, for example:

The COMAND operating, display and controller unit is a subscriber of MOST. It communicates with the following control units, for example:

Function
The control buttons on the COMAND operating, display and controller unit are read in and made available for the integrated central computer. The button operations are processed further in the central computer and transferred to other system components as a message via MOST or the interior CAN.

If the "ON/OFF" button on the COMAND operating, display and controller unit is pressed, the COMAND operating, display and controller unit is switched on or off. The volume is regulated by turning the volume setting rotary switch for each set audio source. The user can switch to the required system component by pressing the menu buttons.

DVD drive
The integrated DVD drive can be used to play audio or video CDs and DVDs (including in MP3 format).
