Poor Engine Performance/Engine in Limp-Home Mode/Stored ME Fault Codes
If you receive customer reports in the above model vehicles regarding poor vehicle performance, engine in limp-home mode or fault codes stored in the ME-SFI control unit (N3/10), this may be caused by a temporary transition resistance in the Z sleeves area To resolve, install an optimized throttle valve wiring harness as per the following,
1. Remove resonance wiring harness. Refer to testing I repair work in WIS Group 09.20
2. Remove lower section of intake manifold.
3. Replace throttle valve wiring harness. Refer to testing/repair work in WIS Group 07.61.
4. Install in reverse order.
Note:
Modified tightening pattern (Figure 1)/modified torque for intake manifold mounting bolts.
^ Stage 1 to 8 Nm
^ Stage 2 to 10 Nm
^ Stage 3 at 90° angle
The throttle valve stop must always be taught in again after the repair.
