AR40.20-P-0323GH Check and Adjust Front Wheel Toe


















Checking and Adjusting:
1. Fix steering wheel in center position. Install holding device (055) for this. (Special Tool 129589012100)
2. Check center position of steering gear and the steering wheel. The steering gear is in the center position if the marking line on the cap aligns with the marking notch on the rotary disc valve (arrow). If necessary offset steering wheel by a maximum of 1 tooth.
3. Adjust toe-in by loosening lock nut (10f) and rotating the tie rods (10). Check bellows for twisting after adjusting toe-in.

Test Values - Front Axle Toe-In (Model 163):
Front axle toe-in 0° 10' ± 10'

Tightening Specification:
Clamping nut, tie rod to inner tie rod 50 Nm
