1. Observe general information on chassis alignment check. AR40.20-P-0200A Perform Chassis Alignment Check

NOTE: Deflect vehicle firmly several times after repair work.

2. Install measuring plate (086b) in recess in lower wishbone. The groove in the measuring plate (086b) must be at an angle of 90° to the direction of travel.
- Clean measuring points on lower wishbone.
- Remove metal swarf from measuring plate.
- Measuring plate is magnetic, information on data carriers e.g. diskettes, check cards etc. may become unusable.
3. Check vehicle level at the front axle via wishbone inclination. Mount measuring sensor (086a) (connection cable points towards the center of the vehicle) and store value measured in each case.
- Measuring point 1 on front left
- Measuring point 2 on front right
4. Check vehicle level at rear axle via rear drive shaft inclination. Mount measuring sensor (086a) on left or right rear drive shaft (connection cable points towards the center of the vehicle) and store each measured value.
- Clean measuring points on drive shaft
- Measuring point 3 on rear left
- Measuring point 4 on rear right
5.1. Vehicle level at front axle outside tolerance: Adjust vehicle level via rear torsion bar spring mount.
6.1 Vehicle level at rear axle outside tolerance: Adjust vehicle level by modifying the springs.
