Electronic Stability Program (ESP) Responds Too Early When Driving Through

Curves at Speeds Between 18 and 38 MPH (30 and 60 km/h)

If you receive customer reports in the above model vehicles of premature actuation of the ESP control module, replace the ESP control module. Reference WIS document AR42.45-P-0820AA.

Note:
The revised ESP control module incorporates software, which has improved the overall interaction between chassis components.

Note:
The revised ESP control module can only be installed using STAR Diagnosis software version 02/04 or higher.

Note:
In order to complete the installation process, a "Road Test" must be performed via STAR Diagnosis. Enter into the following STAR Diagnosis menus in order to initiate the "Road Test": Control Units -> Chassis -> Traction Systems ABS, ASR, ETS, ESP -> Control Unit Adaptations -> Road Test. Ensure that the "Road Test" test sequence instruction are followed.
