Shift-Lock

Function
The term shift-lock refers to the functions which, in addition to the parking brake, secure the vehicle against unintentionally movement.

This includes the locks for the parking lock as well as steering wheel lock, which connect the parking lock, brake pedal and steering wheel lock via cables. The locks work by means of reciprocal action.

The vehicle is secured mechanically by blocking the parking lock gear on the output shaft.
