Oil Seal (Oil Pump) Replacement
OIL SEAL (OIL PUMP) REPLACEMENT [AY6A-EL]
CAUTION:
- The oil seal is easily damaged by the sharp edges of the torque converter splines. Do not let the splines contact the oil seal.
1. Remove the transaxle. Automatic Transaxle Removal/Installation
2. Remove the torque converter. Service and Repair
CAUTION:
- Do not damage the oil seal.
- Do not drop the torque converter.
3. Using a tape-wrapped flathead screwdriver, remove the oil seal from the oil pump body.
CAUTION:
- Do not to damage the bushing on the oil pump body.
4. Using the SST and a hammer, install the oil seal to the oil pump body.
5. Coat the lip of the oil seal with grease.
6. Install the torque converter. Service and Repair
CAUTION:
- Do not damage the oil seal.
- Do not drop the torque converter.
- Do not pinch fingers.
7. Install the transaxle. Automatic Transaxle Removal/Installation
8. Add ATF. Adjustments
9. Adjust the ATF level. Adjustments
10. Perform the "Mechanical System Test". Mechanical System Test
