Oil Seal (Differential) Replacement
OIL SEAL (DIFFERENTIAL) REPLACEMENT [AY6A-EL]
1. Drain the ATF. Automatic Transaxle Fluid (ATF) Replacement
2. Remove the front splash shield. Service and Repair
3. Disconnect the drive shaft from the transaxle. Drive Shaft Removal/Installation
4. Remove the joint shaft. Joint Shaft Removal/Installation
5. Remove the oil seal lip using a utility knife.
6. Remove and discard the oil seal using a tape-wrapped flathead screwdriver.

CAUTION:
- Do not damage the transaxle case.
- Do not damage the differential case.
7. Using the SST and a hammer, tap a new oil seal so that the specified oil seal position is obtained.

CAUTION:
- Do not damage the oil seal.
8. Install the joint shaft. Joint Shaft Removal/Installation
9. Install the drive shaft to the transaxle. Drive Shaft Removal/Installation
10. Install the front splash shield. Service and Repair
11. Add ATF. Adjustments
12. Adjust the ATF level. Adjustments
13. Perform the "Mechanical System Test". Mechanical System Test
