POSITIVE CRANKCASE VENTILATION (PCV) FITTING INSPECTION [MZI 3.7 V6]

Airflow Inspection

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Removal and Replacement

2. Disconnect the PCV valve hose from the PCV fitting. Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) Fitting Removal/Installation

3. Verify that there is no airflow when pressure is applied to the PCV fitting using a vacuum pump.

- If there is airflow, replace the PCV fitting. Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) Fitting Removal/Installation

4. Verify that there is airflow when vacuum is applied to the PCV fitting.

- If there is no airflow, replace the PCV fitting. Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) Fitting Removal/Installation
