Knock Sensor: Testing and Inspection

KNOCK SENSOR (KS) INSPECTION [MZI 3.7 V6]

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Removal and Replacement

2. Disconnect the KS connector. Service and Repair

3. Measure the resistance between the following terminals:






- KS terminals A and B (KS (RH))
- KS terminals C and D (KS (LH))

- If not as specified, replace the KS. Service and Repair

KS resistance
- Approx. 4.87 megohms [ECT: 25 °C {77 °F}]
