Rear Parking Brake Cable Removal/Installation

REAR PARKING BRAKE CABLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. Remove the following parts:
a. Upper panel Upper Panel Removal/Installation

b. Shift lever knob (MTX) Service and Repair

c. Shift panel Shift Panel Removal/Installation

d. Decoration panel (See Decoration Panel Removal/Installation.)

e. Center panel lower Center Panel Lower Removal/Installation

f. Rear console Rear Console Removal/Installation

2. Loosen the adjusting nut.

3. Remove the middle pipe. Service and Repair

4. Remove the insulator (middle). Service and Repair

5. Remove the floor under cover No.1 and floor under cover No.2. Service and Repair

6. Remove in the order indicated in the table.

7. Install in the reverse order of removal.

8. After installation, inspect the parking brake stroke and adjust if necessary. Testing and Inspection









Rear Parking Brake Cable Removal Note

1. Turn the lock lever as shown in the figure.






2. Remove the rear parking brake cable from the bracket.

3. Wrap the rear parking brake cable end with tape.






4. Remove the rear parking brake cable while pulling it from the outside of the vehicle.

Rear Parking Brake Cable Installation Note

1. Wrap the rear parking brake cable end with tape.






2. Install the rear parking brake cable while pushing it in from the outside of the vehicle.

3. Install the rear parking brake cable to the bracket.






4. Turn the lock lever as shown in the figure.
