Steering Mounted Controls Assembly: Testing and Inspection
STEERING SWITCH INSPECTION
Without Bluetooth System
1. Switch the ignition OFF (LOCK).
2. Disconnect the negative battery cable and wait for 1 min or more.
3. Remove the driver-side air bag module. Standard Deployment Control System Two-Step Deployment Control System
4. Disconnect the clock spring connector.
5. Verify the resistance between the clock spring connector terminals.
- If not within the specification, replace the steering switch.
6. Apply battery positive voltage to clock spring connector terminal 4O (with standard deployment control system) /5O (with two-step deployment control system), and connect terminal 4E (with standard deployment control system) /5E (with two-step deployment control system) to ground.
7. Verify that the LED illuminates.
- If the LED does not illuminate, replace the steering switch.
